September 19, 2009 300 Oaks for 30 Years: Oak Design & Construction Celebrates 30 Years of Remodeling Homes in Oak Park and River Forest Design/build firm celebrates anniversary at OakToberfest in downtown Oak Park Saturday, September 19 Oak Design & Construction, a residential design/build firm specializing in additions, kitchens and bathrooms, announced today it will celebrate its 30th anniversary by giving away 300 sapling trees at OakToberfest in Oak Park on Saturday, September 19 from noon to 5pm. Oak Design will also make a donation to the Oak Park Area Arts Council. OakToberfest celebrates the end of the summer in downtown Oak Park between Lake St. and North Blvd. Both residents and visitors have the chance to taste a variety of micro-brews and wines, delicious fall food from local vendors and hear live music performances featuring bands from across the country. “OakToberfest is the perfect setting for Oak Design & Construction to celebrate thirty years of serving both Oak Park and River Forest. Both communities have helped us grow, and OakToberfest is a chance to show our appreciation,” says Dave Brady, Certified Remodeler and owner of Oak Design & Construction. Brady began his career as a carpenter working on small jobs and over time gained field experience to set standards in quality and craftsmanship. In 1979 he founded Oak Design & Construction and has spent three decades growing the firm. “During the Chicago blizzard of 1979 is when Oak Design started. More than 300 garages in the Oak Park area collapsed due to snow loads and I went out into the community to help people reinforce them,” says Brady.
